Celebrating the opening of our new factory and our expansion across North America.
Lyndhurst, NJ, March 6, 2015 – Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno will be cutting the ribbon officially kicking-off the grand opening of Megas Yeeros LLC’s New Jersey facility in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. Mayor Robert Giangeruso will also participate in the ceremony. This will be the first United States based facility for Megas Yeeros, which will create many new job opportunities for residents in New Jersey.
There were many offers to open the facility from all over the country. Ultimately, it was decided that New Jersey was the right place.
“Megas Yeeros is thrilled to be operating in the great state of New Jersey,” Nikos Stergiou, General Manager of Megas Yeeros exclaimed. “Our growing company, with roots in Greece will continue to expand, adding local jobs and becoming more involved in the local communities.”
Megas Yeeros LLC is a food manufacturing company specializing in the production of authentic Greek food, such as Yeeros (widely known as gyro), souvlaki, kebabs, and more. Its delicious and healthy products, based on authentic recipes, will win the heart of the US market, especially now that the Greek cuisine’s popularity has risen more than ever.

Now that Megas Yeeros has set foot on America, the challenge is to bring the authentic taste of Greece to every table in the US. The products are currently available through food service distributors in more than 12 states and the availability grows every day.

The special grand opening event will include speeches from the Megas Yeeros leadership team and special guests, the ceremonial ribbon cutting, and a sampling of our new products along with refreshments. Members of the Hellenic Commission, including Dr. Zenon Christodoulou, Savas Tsivicos, Stravos Antonakakis and the Honorable Steve Cordemus will also attend.
